LP UNALON, a micro-cellular foam elastomer, is the material of

Fundamental to LP UNALON is a cast polyurethane architecture. Both rigid and comparatively porous, it delivers consistent flatness over the lifetime of the pad.

MICRO-CELLS

LPUNALON micro-cells hold discrete amounts of external polishing or finish slurries and “meter” the slurry to the working surface. The cells’ volume, frequency, and topography yield a variety of desired characteristics.

RIGIDITY

Hardness, stiffness, and flex modulus are all engineering variables which can be tailored for specific operations.

MACHINABILITY

LP Unalon’s machinability allows the surface to be modified for applications requiring unique contours and more critical tolerances.

AVAILABILITY

LP UNALON is available abrasive-filled or unfilled; in sheet (standard sizes: 23”x55” / 584.2mm x 1397mm; 28”x56” / 711.2mm x1422.4mm), disc, ring, block, wheel, and plug form. Standard thickness for sheets and discs is 0.020” (0.508mm) to 0.20” (5.08mm), but a variety of thicknesses and sizes are available based on application. Manufactured at ISO 9000: 2008 certified JH Rhodes facility, LP UNALON is a global standard for top performing precision polishing materials. It was developed to
meet the challenges presented by a variety of industries for critical
surfacing requiring high accuracy.

LP WHEELS

LP Wheels are an excellent choice for flat glass and mirror edging, yielding over 60% more life and higher polish quality than felt wheels. Available for all edging machines, they will not clog or contaminate your slurry system.

LP GROOVING

LP UNALON is offered in a variety of grooved configurations. Grooving channels improve pad performance, enabling swarf and slurry compounds to reach the interface surface more efficiently, resulting in increased product throughput with flatter results.

The hardness(ASTM) of LP-13 Polishing Pad is appoximately 66. We can offer different sizes of grooving, customized dimension and additional taping and punching service.
