XKSM-S1092 8x2 HDMI Matrix supports IR remote and serial control, and allows users to switch between 8 HDMI sources and then delivers the selected video stream to 2 HDMI output devices (Monitor/ Projector). The “Auto-switching / input auto detecting” function always routes the last connecting stream (as first priority) to the output. Dedicated cascade port can cascade 2 stages of matrix units for video source expansion (16 ports max.). You can select the desired input source(s) via the IR remote control or push buttons located on the switch.

The HDMI and 3.5mm audio inputs bring in multiple audio/video feeds supporting audio embedding. Audio embedding function embeds audio from a 3.5-mm source to an HDMI signal and allows users to diversely incorporate the audio signal for more informative contents in video post-production that are beneficial for the conference call, meeting room or show room application.

EDID Auto Learning and EDID Copy functions allow the HDMI Matrix either to read the necessary EDID information from the unit itself or to copy EDID from the EDID compliant monitor, which ensures that every video source is displayed at the optimal resolution and format without any compatibility issue.

XKSM-S1092 provides 4 extra modes for input source selection including Manual mode, Auto, Priority, and Matrix mode. The input sources selection can be carried out thru the slide switch on the rear panel:

• Switch mode: the input sources can be selected thru on-panel buttons, RS-232 serial or IR remote control.

• Auto mode: the last inserted source is automatically selected.

• Priority mode: Input source selected based on the priority level.

• Matrix mode: the input sources can be selected thru on-panel buttons, RS-232 serial or IR remote control.

XKSM-S1092 HDMI Matrix supports various ways of control that can be done thru front-panel buttons, RS-232 serial or IR remote control. The RS-232 serial control, built-in RJ-11 serial interface, provides users easy and friendly operation. There’s also an IR sensor window at the front panel designed with great aesthetic and efficiency to quickly and accurately control this unit. Furthermore, the distance between the emitter head and the IR port on the unit may be extended to provide users a flexible and easy way in IR remote control system installation (maximum 3 meters IR extension cable can be purchased separately).
