The sliding wire varistor is made of magnesium wire specially treated by oxidation insulation. The magnesium wire is densely wound around the magnetic tube to form a resistance element. Together with the metal protection bracket and the blocking lock, the resistance is changed by moving the brush on the magnesium wire. There are two types of hand-lock and hand-operated locks.

Slip-wire varistor is suitable for 50 Hz, AC voltage below 380 volts, DC voltage below 400 volts, used to change voltage, current and replace variable resistors. Can be used in laboratories, power generation equipment, arresters and aging equipment..etc.
