The Phonics for Children series is designed to help Basic English students learn how to pronounce English words. The series includes four primary books ranging in difficulty from basic to more advanced. Each book comprises a listening, speaking, reading, and writing course for Basic English Learners and has thirteen units, with the exception of Book 4. Students will learn how to pronounce a range of common sounds correctly and confidently through structured lessons. To assist young students who are learning phonics for the first time, each book features colorful illustrations. Book 1 and Book 2 focus on Phonics from A to Z. Book 3 focuses on long vowels and consonants. Book 4 focuses on double-letter vowels and word endings. Book 4 also includes three appendixes on phonics. These appendixes cover the pronunciation of suffixes and silent letters. Furthermore, Book 3 and Book 4 come with workbooks to help students enhance their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
