Key Features
- Transparent Cards substitute the usual white PVC card material (four layers in general, five in case of dual interface cards or contactless cards) with transparent materials in accordance to design concepts to illustrate or emphasize visual designs, such as company logos, or a sense of technological modernity.
- During production, personalization, and executing transactions via card readers, transparent cards could not mask the card positioning mechanism in said operations due to the transparent nature of the materials, interfering with normal functions and resulting in failed transactions or unreadable cards. Specialized process of production must be designed accordingly to prevent such complications.
- Foongtone has extensive experience in producing such products, during pre-printing phases, recommendations for transparent cards are suggested to meet client concepts, and to raise the feeling value of their cards. Currently, transparent cards are primarily utilized in areas including, dual interface cards, enterprise stored-value cards, and membership cards.
