- Dual Interface Cards, or Combi Cards, are cards with both contact and contactless interfaces, but share a single chip and EEPROM for transaction purposes. Recently, the full efforts of promotion from VISA International, including VISA, MasterCard, and JCB, multi-functioning dual interface cards that combine transit tickets, micropayment electronic wallets, and reward points systems, are becoming increasingly popular. The wide-spread usage in retail trades, transit cards, and shopping centers provides positive benefits to the speeding-up of transaction processes and operation efficiency for business operators, as well as raising the loyalty of card holders, which fosters the contributing customer groups for card-issuing banks, and generates revenues for consumer financing businesses.
- In adaptation to the direction of Combi Card developments in the domestic market, Foongtone has been in research and development for a complete production line since 2004.
