Bird’s nest is rich in protein, 18 kinds of amino acids, a variety of minerals (calcium, iron, zinc, etc.), as well as an epidermal growth factor (EGF). And one of the reasons why bird’s Nest has its unique efficacy is that bird’s nest has been its riches with unique neuraminidase – bird’s nest acid. It is the main component in Chinese Traditional gourmet bird’s nest.


Modern science identifies the key ingredient in bird nest as Glycoprotein. This so-called "super protein" is a principal substance the human body can produce, but regresses over time due to ageing and illness. Glycoprotein can be found in abundance in Swiflets' nests which are made from the bird’s saliva.
